Remember the largest labor uprising in US History, the one STRIPPED from history books until the 70s. Remember the union folks who came before us. Remember Blair Mountain.

"1921 was the year
Seems like yesterday to me
Let me tell you about what happened then
Back in the mine country
We were fightin' hard to build a union
'Cause at forty cents a ton
There was no way to feed a family
When the minin' day was done"
- "The Battle for Blair Mountain" by David Rovics

On a cold morning in August 1921, the workers, tired of surviving on craps, tired of company stores, tired of being exploited by the mine barons, rose up, and thus began one of the biggest labor fights you never heard about. The US government sent soldiers to defend the mines, and laid US Citizens like firewood to protect the oligarchs, for the crime of no longer accepting crumbs.

This is your constant remind that there is no war but class war, and poverty is the tool the rich use to keep us from rising up.
