LIMITED - MAYDAY - REMEMBER HAYMARKET
On May 4th 1886, at Haymarket Square in Chicago, IL, workers marched and rose up chanting "Eight Hours for work. Eight hours for rest. Eight hours for what we will" as part of one of the largest general strikes in US history.
Police fired into the crowd, an officer was killed, and 8 of the protests organizers were tried and found guilty for that death that this day there is no evidence of them committing.
Honor them, and the labor movement, with this piece emblazoned with the Haymarket Martyrs Monument, and the last words of organizer August Spies, who was hung unjustly for said crime.
We remember their sacrifice, we remember the labor leaders who came before us, and we always stand in solidarity with our unions.
